BRUCE MIZAK, 2ND VICE PRESIDENT

 

  • Boat – front tie down (metal cleat) is pulling away from the boat
  • Absolute is backed up with work. Truck still needs to be scheduled  
  • Van failed inspection for emissions
  • Inspector Neroda’s car should be replaced. There is 88,000 miles on the car

  • Ordered two reels for Engine’s
  • Met with the architect and roofing company. Expressed concerns and how we were not happy.
  • The siren has been removed from the property, took it back to their work yard.
  • We will not be releasing 2nd payment yet, because there are still repairs to be made
  • Architect is writing a letter putting the roofing company on notice

CORY SPILLAR, FIRE OFFICIAL

  • Received $34,773.72 3rd quarter LEA reimbursement
  • Received $25,785.84 4th quarter LEA reimbursement
  • Anticipated 2021 Revenue $118,965.66
  • Fire Drills are set at the schools
  • Fire Prevention week will be a full go, confirmed by Superintendent
  • Construction update
    1. Developmental Center completely knocked down. Site work to begin for warehouse
    2. 2 Paddock St. PQ has been demolished and site work for new freezer warehouse to begin shortly
    3. Pizza Time vacated; leased to be a new restaurant
    4. 1040 & 1050 Rt. 1 (old Big Top both have CO’s)
  • Bureau coverage set with Shift Inspectors and Mutual Aid during Convention
  • Juvenile Fire Setter – Chris
  • Map Books – Chris will look to get an update from MWC on all of the hydrant relocations that have occurred for new mains and meters

AYMAN ELBAYAR, FIRE CHIEF 2021

  • Calls for July
  • There was a 3 man recall on July 29
  • The Exempt picnic went very well
  • 9-11 memorial September 10th at Woodbridge High School
  • Firefighters Convention in Wildwood in September. Dual response with Colonia for Thursday, Friday and Saturday
  • Run card will change. Added a piece of apparatus for a down wire.
  • Sent out an email to all Officers Re: firefighters not wearing all turnout gear on calls.
  • Dual Response protocols - calls for Mutual Aid assignment
  • Fire Academy – two firefighters have been enrolled for Fire I, starting in September. One is resigning. Would like to sign up another firefighter in their place. Will reach out to the Fire Academy to make that change
  • Rob Snowfield has informed up that the owner of Nora’s will be coming home from the hospital. Would like to request an engine for a drive by to welcome him home.
  • Asst. Chief Frank Strain pager not working. Greg gave him a new battery. Said it still was not working.

 

FIREFIGHTER, MATT MIZAK

  • Requests have been coming in for patches. We are no longer distributing patches out to the public
  • Will continue to send posts to Comm. Addie and Comm. Mitch for approval before posting to Social Media

 

DAVID EIDSON, BUSINESS ADMINISTATOR

  • Career Firefighter applications will be printed in a booklet form going forward.
  • Made some changes to the Volunteer applications
  • Drug & Alcohol Policy is almost completed
  • Camera repairs to be done after the roof is completed
  • Firefighter Fritz and his new baby doing well
  • Captain Adam Karlin and Firefighter Tom Karlin will have a bereavement day September 23, 2021
  • Will be ordering more Station Wear (2 additional shirts and pants)
